About half of Peru's inhabitants are of pure Indian origin, many still speaking the language of their ancestors; their customs and beliefs are a combination of traditional Andean and imposed conquistadores practices. The towns and cities are vibrant, from Lima to colonial Cusco, filled with Peruvians working, shopping and enjoying life.
